nGimat, Co. announced today that its board of directors will be comprised of Tom Saponas, Jeff Moore, and Brian Mackey. Andrew Hunt, PhD, the founder of nGimat and the company’s CEO from 1994 to 2017, has elected to leave the board of directors. Andrew remains highly supportive of the company’s ongoing growth initiatives and will serve as a technical advisor to the company.

Thomas A. Saponas has been a member of the board on nGimat since 2004 and Chairman of the Board of nGimat since 2014. Until his retirement in 2003, Tom was the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Agilent Technologies, the 1999 spinoff of Hewlett Packard Company. Tom was responsible for establishing Agilent’s long-term technology strategy and directly supervised its central research lab. Prior to this, Tom was Vice President and General Manager of the Electronic Measurements Group at Hewlett Packard where he led eight divisions and 5 operations. He previously served as chairman of Procera Networks (PKT) and a director of Keithley Instruments (KEI) until both companies were acquired. In the mid-80’s, Tom was a White House Fellow (Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Navy) and was awarded the Superior Civil Servant for a major cost saving initiative. He also has served on the Naval Research Advisory Committee, the National Institute of Standard’s Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology and several different boards of the National Academy of Science. Tom has a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
Jeffrey C. Moore has been a member of the board of nGimat since 1995 and serves as Corporate Secretary. Jeff served as the Chief Operating Officer and in-house counsel of nGimat from the company’s inception until 2001. Jeff joined nGimat after serving as Senior Attorney for Advantis (a Sears/IBM joint venture) and, prior to that, served as Laboratory Counsel for IBM with a focus on formation of strategic third-party alliances. After IBM, Mr. Moore has been engaged with various startups for over 20 years, most recently with Virent, where he served as Chief Operating Officer until it was successfully exited through acquisition to Tesoro. Jeff earned a B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting from Miami University of Ohio, a Juris Doctor from Ohio State University College of Law, passed the CPA examination, and was admitted to the State Bars of New York and Georgia.
Brian Mackey, nGimat’s Chief Executive Officer, joined the company and the board of directors in November of 2017.
