nGimat, Co. today announced that Claudia Goggin will join the company on March 13, 2018 in the newly-created position of Vice President of Engineering & Operations. Previously, Claudia served as a global engineering leader during 17 years with Lexmark, an industry leader in the printing technology business.
“The addition of Claudia to our management team is a vital step forward for our company. We’re very excited to add her skills, operational experience and technical expertise, which are well suited to the commercial growth path that nGimat is on,” said Brian Mackey, nGimat’s CEO.
As the leader of nGimat’s technical team, Claudia will support the plan that is underway for Andrew Hunt, PhD, to step away from nGimat. Andrew founded the company in 1994 and served as CEO for 24 years. Andrew currently serves as Chief Technical Officer and will be transferring technical responsibilities to Claudia in the coming months.
Claudia’s roles at Lexmark included Manager of New Materials Development (four years), Manager of the global Materials Technology Area (four years), and Worldwide Manager of Product and Process Quality Assurance (one year). Additionally, she was awarded 10 patents and several “invention achievement awards” and led the delivery of key technologies for the company. She holds a Diplôme d’Ingénieur (equivalent to a Master’s degree in Engineering) from ITECH-Lyon specialized in formulation chemistry, polymers and coatings, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida, and an MBA from the University of Kentucky/University of Louisville (joint program).
